Sobre la VICO
La Guacamaya is a boutique, three-bedroom share house. With its mix of traditional materials rescued from colonial homes, and contemporary open-plan design, la Guacamaya combines generous shared living spaces with private bedrooms, each with its own work space and private bathroom. The name La Guacamaya comes from the vivid colours of our three enormous colonial bay-windows , which share their colours with this iconic Colombian parrot.
It has broadband internet, gas hot water, a complete chef's kitchen with big work areas and dishwasher, weekly cleaning, Smart TV, and bbq, outdoor dining and exercise area on the enormous roof terrace with views over the mountains and Medellin CBD. It has been a project of love, and it's a pleasure to finally share it.
Acerca del barrio
Laureles- La Castellana is a quiet suburb but close to very good cafés and restaurants. There are also many nearby options for a night out but we are not so close that your sleep will be interrupted. Flat, easy to walk and cycle around with dedicated cycle-routes close-by. La Guacamaya is one block from Avenida 80, close to public transport, including the new electric buses part of the Metro system.

Hello, I'm Clara Natalia. I'm Colombian but have lived in Australia for the last 15 years. I'm married to Benjamín and have a son, Oliver. I'm a nurse and Ben is writer/journalist/lecturer. We love outdoor adventures, especially cycle-touring. We built a 3 bedroom boutique home in Medellín where we lived for one year and now we are offering it as a share house for three good persons to enjoy.
